Curriculum Vitae

Since I was a child I have been in touch with nature, spending my holidays in Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas natural park. There I developed my first knowledge about fauna and flora, but more importantly this was the place where my love for birds was born. All this led me to study biology at the University of Granada where I did my final degree project about the wintering birds in the metropolitan area of Granada. After this I had the opportunity to do a Master in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology at the Pablo de Olavide University and the Doñana Biological Station (CSIC) where I could work with some of the best researchers of Spain and I did my thesis on food waste in psittacines. During my studies, I participated as a volunteer in several projects related to conservation, such as the Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus barbatus) reintroduction scheme in Andalusia or the reintroduction of the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) in the Urdaibai reserve. During the year 2018, before starting my PhD, I worked as a specialized technician in the breeding center of the Laurel pigeon (Columba junoniae) within the POST-Life + Rabiche porject.
