Curriculum Vitae

I decided to study the Biology degree at UPV/EHU for various reasons, all of them connected by a common thread: an interest in research aimed at biodiversity conservation. During my Erasmus+ stay at the Universidade dos Açores, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the organization SPEA, participating in rescue efforts for the Cory's shearwater (Calonectris borealis). I completed the degree with a Final Degree Project focused on the effect of livestock farming on pollination networks in Atlantic grasslands, under the supervision of Arantza Aldezabal and Maddi Artamendi. From that experience, I realized that I wanted to take an active role in creating change, and I decided to specialize in research and conservation. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Areas at UIMP, in collaboration with CSIC. At the same time, I am training to become a certified bird ringer. Finally, I would like to highlight that, thanks to the JAE Intro grant, I have been able to carry out a brief research project on barbule density in different feathers of the spotless starling (Sturnus unicolor), an experience that has further strengthened my passion for research.
