Curriculum Vitae

I studied biology at the University of Extremadura, collaborating in the department of Anatomy, Cell Biology and Zoology, where I did my BSc Project on the importance of fatty acids in migration of extreme migratory birds. During my degree, I also collaborated in the Centre for Wildlife Recovery and Environmental Education “Los Hornos”, where I improved my abilities un wildlife handling and care. Also, I’m volunteer at the Association for Nature Defence and Extremadura Resources (ADENEX) where I was introduced in the scientific ringing of birds, an interest that I have further developed by taking some courses organized by SEO/Birdlife. I am interested in the study of birds in general, in particular the fields of ecophysiology, migration, anatomy, behavioural ecology and evolutionary.

I am currently studying my Master Degree in Basic and Applied Research on Game Resources at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. I am performing mu MSc Project under the supervision of Lorenzo Pérez-Rodríguez, studying the function and expression of melanin-based plumage in the red grouse (Lagopus lagopus scoticus)
