Please welcome our new postdoc: Blanca Jimeno

Blanca Jimeno has been awarded a Juan de la Cierva fellowship to work at the IREC lab with Lorenzo Pérez Rodriguez in our team in the next two years (2021-2022). Blanca did her Master work with us some years ago. Since them she has completed a very succesful PhD with Simon Verhulst at the University of Groningen and a postdoctoral stay at the University of Montana. She is a wonderful addition to the lab and we are proud to have such a brilliant recruit !

Blanca Jimeno will be studying the interplay between early stress and adaptation, in particular the role of glucocorticoids in mediating patterns of phenotypic plasticity. We believe that our study species is an excellent system to investigate this topic. More on this very soon.
